Ryan Newman burst onto the scene in 2002, winning Rookie of the Year honors for his sixth-place finish overall, and earned the nickname “Rocketman” for his fast cars. His best season was 2003 when he won eight races and finished sixth in points. Newman has 12 career Winston/Nextel Cup wins and seven Busch Series race wins to his credit. In 2006 he failed to record a win for the first time since 2001. |
