Allmendinger began his NASCAR racing career in 2006 after three successful seasons on the Champ Car Circuit. He drove in the Craftsman Truck Series for Bill Davis Racing in 2006 before joining Team Red Bull later in the season. As a part of Team Red Bull Allmendinger competed in his first career Nextel Cup race at Bristol Motorspeedway in the 2007 Food City 500. He finished 40th. Allmendinger will continue to race for Team Red Bull on the Nextel Cup Circuit, while also driving in the Craftsman Truck Series for Darrell Waltrip Motorsports. |
