Kahne made his NASCAR debut in 2004 with Evernham Motorsports and he was an immediate contender with 13 Top-5 finishes. Kahne posted his first win at Richmond in 2005, but really came into his own in 2006 when he won six races and qualified for the Chase for the Nextel Cup. Kahne finished the 2006 season in eighth place and will look to improve on that as he continues with Evernham Motorsports this season.
