Kurt Busch wins at Atlanta

A week after his brother Kyle Busch won at Las Vegas it was Kurt Busch’s turn in victory lane on Sunday, as he recorded his first win of the season in the Kobalt Tools 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Jeff Gordon finished second on Sunday and retained his lead atop the driver standings. Gordon now leads Clint Bowyer, who was sixth on Sunday, by 43 points. Busch is third in points after the win, 46 points behind Gordon.

Following Busch and Gordon over the finish line at Atlanta were Carl Edwards in third, Kevin Harvick in fourth, Brian Vickers in fifth and Bowyer in sixth. Kasey Kahne was seventh and Tony Stewart was eighth. Rounding out the rest of the Top 10 were Jimmie Johnson and Martin Truex Jr.

The drivers of NASCAR get a week off before returning to the track on March 22 at Bristol Motor Speedway for the Food City 500.
