Stewart takes Kansas, moves up in Chase

Tony Stewart made a late push, and then held off Jeff Gordon to win his fourth race of the season at the Price Chopper 400 at Kansas Speedway on Sunday.

Stewart is now fourth in the Chase for the Sprint Cup, 67 points behind leader Mark Martin, who finished seventh at Kansas.

Gordon moved up to seventh in the standings with his second-place showing, while Jimmie Johnson remained in second place in the Chase after coming in ninth place on Sunday.

Following Stewart and Gordon over the finish line on Sunday was Greg Biffle in third, Juan Pablo Montoya in fourth, and Denny Hamlin in fifth. Rounding out the top 10 was Kasey Kahne in sixth, David Reutimann in eighth, and Carl Edwards in 10th.

The Chase resumes with the Pepsi 500 at Auto Club Speedway at Fontana next Sunday.
